View Full Version : Should I join a level 39 clan?
Okay here's the scoop: My friends and I just started a new clan and around level 12 we play a clan called PoW. Now i know the leaderboard pretty well and I knew that they were level 39's. We played excellent and ended up beating them 50-27. They were like level 24 and 26 or something. I asked them if they were part of the other PoW clan which was 39 and they said yes and that this is just a screw around clan. They sent me friends requests and told me I could join their clan. Should I do it? Considering my clan will most likely get above 25, I'm thinking about it. I would check the clan and it's player's history first before you join just to make sure they arn't cheating.

Alot of clans like that ( that suck and lose to lower people ) most likley clan boosted. A serious clan wouldnt send invites to people they barley know. So i say no.

I know what you're saying.However, they are very talented. Don't say they suck and lost to lower people because we aren't really level 10's, our last clan was 24 until it got ****ed over. I agree with you on clan boosting though. There's no way they got to level 39.5 by regular play.

Dude im not saying you suck, im saying if they were a serious clan theyd play a whole lot better than to lose to a level 10 clan. dont get me wrong :P

Check out their game histories. I garauntee they clan boost, or standby. Easiest way to tell is just look at game reports. If they cheat, don't join.

Why don't you post us some links to the games that they stand-by'ed and explain to us what we are looking at. I think it would be a really good learning experience for a lot of us. (Yes by "a lot of us" I mean me.)

I agree, how do you find out these standbyers routes and etc. Please post a link to help me and most likely others out to.

and they cheat/boost, like every other 35+ clan on there. F3AR is the highest legit, at 34.
took me three hours to play 5 clan matches yesterday.... won four, got standbyed in the 5th.....wow.

I doubt my clan will get over 25 also. However my friend can boot standbyers so we get an auto win if someone standby's us. The last clan this group was in got up to 24 before it got screwed up and everyone was overlord.

Well if you want to but they undoubtably are boosters and they will get blacklisted pretty soon so its just kinda stupid to do it.

1. Click on their clan name to bring up their clan page. In there you can view their games.
2. Click the games link
3. Find an objective game. Non-slayer. Click on that game.
4. Click the game viewer link
5. Press next on the objective route selecter
6. Keep pressing next and previous to view what routes they took the flag/bomb on. If it's a straight line from one point to another, chances are it's standby. When it's legit, the line goes all over the place, from dropping the bomb, picking it up, running around a bit with it to avoid getting hit by arms fire.

I agree with pretty much everyone in this thread, don't join a group of cheaters, there's no point unless you like seeing your name up on the leaderboard with a bunch of other cheaters.

if you can autoboot, you should let the other team be host everytime, and then when they standby, you boot them, which is in effect boosting, and not legit.

So you're saying punishing cheaters is a bad thing? I decided against it.If I did accept it I bet I would get non stop FR's even though I wasn't that good.
BTW- He can't boot them every time just once in a while and it only boots the one using standby not the whole team.
