This will never fall through. He's just looking for something to blame. We already have ESRB so why push it any further. It's the parents fualt if they don't read the warning and rating description. Besides as it says it violates certain acts.

That's one of the most inaccurate thread titles I've ever seen.

I guess "Moves Toward Banning Some Video Games" = " Illinois BANS violent video games "

This will never fly. Seriously, you see more sex and violence on a show like CSI that airs during primetime in most areas.

Hehe. Ya, like everyone has stated. It'll never fall through. If it does, that is signaling the apocalypse.

Gimme a break. That's like criticizing me for typos.

But if you think that this is a farfetched scenario, you haven't been paying attention.

Hell then they should ban cable and any movie not rated G, hell even those are questionable now.

Exactly, games are rated just like movies and IMO most PG-13 movies are more gory or more sexually explict than most T games.

Nah, not really. Saying that they banned it already, but yet, they're trying to push towards a ban (not the first state to try this, btw) is pretty far from just being a typo.

Anyways, this won't pass - instead of blaming the dam video games and TV shows, how about looking at the parents for once? They're the ones that brought them into this world

haha yea i know and its pronounced blagoyavich, kind weird huh? i live here in IL and its not gonna matter 1. im 18 so i dont care 2. if i was 14 it still wouldnt matter cuz it will never happen like everyone else is saying. this type of stuff is not gonna happen and its just to get people riled up and get publicity for politicians. i dont even know much about this dude trying to pass this stuff, but really what other reason would he be trying to pass something like this? he cant really think video games are teh reason can he? hey i just say someone on live jump off of the map on Lockout and he was like a level 65. I think ima go jump off of a building now, its what all the cool kids do.

it WON'T happen... they tried this a year or so ago here in IL and it din't pass then either because it focus JUST on video games, not movies, music, and so on... so it won't pass again.

when I was working at EB we were going to sell the kids R rated movies instead of the video games if the law had passed, kinda showing how idiotic the whole thing was.

I doubt video games will ever be banned. Hell, I am dependent on video games. Anyway, kids would b*tch to their parents until they went crazy and then the parents would do something about it. And about obesity, I think video games keeps my mind off food.

Yea... video games actually take my attention away from food. I have several times been hungry while playing. And I'll end up eating 2-3+ hours after the initial hunger. Besides, some video games get your cardio going... rofl.

LMAO... I have a friend who starts stomping once he is in a gun fight with somebody on Halo 2. If he dies, he quits stomping and remains seated, if he lives then he quits stomping, stands up and keeps playing.
