Microsoft announces new FABLE!?!

Yes... It's called FABLE: The Lost Chapters... The original game just better and this time complete for the PC. What is the deal?! :confused:

The game is larger by about a third with a whole new land, a dragon, weapons, spells, and story. Combat is improved. The world and the people in it look better than ever, with a shiny new coat bristling with high-resolution textures. And finally, it shall no longer be known simply as "the PC version of Fable," but as Fable: The Lost Chapters.
This is what the game for the Xbox should have been in the first place.... no?! :bang:

Thats the problem.... It is the same game. I know the title is misleading but it is a complete version "Director's cut" for the PC only...

The door right outside the Heroes Guild in the Xbox game will have also noticed it was closed and locked. The PC version will open that door up along with everything behind it. Apparently that includes a dragon and a completely new land for players to explore.
Obvious additions to this new content are the things that naturally come with a new area to explore including new towns, new buildings (such as brothels), new creatures, new enemies, a couple of new spells, new weapons, and more.
Combat has also been revamped for the PC version of the game. Molyneux was excited about the changes and seemed confident that they are in fact better and more complete than those on the console. The new system will allow players to link combat types together easier than before including the ability to cast spells with one hand while still holding a sword in the other, the way a proper hero would do it.

oh, dude, i never noticed that. i guess i was confused cause there was the option of conecting to live on the main screen. i figured it was gonna be used for dlc cause multipayer wouldnt exactly work. or i could just be imagining things... can u check that for me, bro? cause i dont have my copy of fable with me right now.

also, i thought you could price DLC however you wanted. i dunno, i could be wrong. i would have spent the 50 bucks on dlc but there is no way im getting it on PC. just not worth it for me.

Wow, so I waited 2 or 3 years for a game I thought was gonna be amaing and instead got a medicore, at best, Zelda title (everything felt like Zelda to me...). Ya call me a victim of hype, I made peace with that and Fable is now happily collecting dust on my TV stand. But what burns me up is that if I wanna play the Fable I was originally excited for (sorta, doesnt seem like everything promised is there) I have to upgrade or get a new PC? Because my computer isn't exactly great for gaming, let alone a new game with better than Xbox graphics. Wow thanks alot Peter :rolleyes:.

OK, this is completely unfair. I never bought into the Fable hype but I still bought the game. I thougth it was a good game and wasnt mad that I bought it. Now I see this and I feel scammed. The fact that you can see all the stuff to be included in the PC version on a modded Xbox shows that the game was rushed out the door and a lot of things that could have made it better were cut. I will NOT buy this game... but I'll probably still play it. :D They take my money I take some of theirs.

Live log in is for Friends/Live Aware thats it.

There WAS going to be multiplayer but it was NEVER on LIVE, it was bringing your memory card to a friends and playing co-op/split screen whatever.

My computer is powerful enough so I can play UT2004 on it, but there is no way I will buy an enhanced fable for my PC since I already bought fable for my xbox.
The xbox versiomn sounded good,and now the Pc version souds good as well,but we all know that the xbox version of fable was more like a beta then a finished game.
Just look at those quests that were at the guild,but couldn't be done.

They should have made Fable for PC originally where they could make the game they wanted with few limits. Fable would be the perfect RPG if they put in the freedom aspect of Morrowind, such as the multiple guilds and side quests. Then combined Fable's fighting style and social interactions.

OMG!!!!!!! i just got into the demon door. outside of the lookout point!!!!!! :hail: Follow the instuctions:
1. put your back against the demon door and use your spade and start digging
2. You will move through the door by digging multiple times
3. Once you get to the part where it wont let you dig, move toward the black are and you should be able to dig again. kepp digging until you get toward the top of the demon door
4. You will see a flat surface on top and in the middle, a raised surface. angle your character to the raised surface.
5. if you need to keep angling after digging do so. Your character curves to the side a little after every dig.
6. once you are standing on the raised surface OR where you can only not see your FEET, Move around and the game should push your character over the grassy area that you see.
7. You will get close to a tree and a hump in the ground and then whenever you dig, you wont move back at all. Try your character to the barred off arches that you see and the game should again push you to another area.
8.You will pushed to a ditch, keep digging
9. you will start to go toward a little incline. on the top is a grassy plain
10. Keep digging and see what you can find. Im getting tired of typing

Hopefully it will be offered in some form. Possibly OXM disc or whatever. There is no sense in not making it available to us some time after the PC game sales trail off. Just like they did with the KotOR downloadable contnet. Sure it will be exclusive, but once the thrill of that wears off it would be benificial to give it to those who've already purchased a game thats taken a verbal beating for missing contnet.

OXM usually only gives you what LIVE people get for the non LIVE people. And even IF they were going to do that (They won't), it would be sold as an addon/expansion of some sorts.
