Is there any possible way to close it once its been opened. I saw it reclosed in a movie, but I don't know if they actually did it or just played the opening backwards. I have been playing this game for a long while and have never seen this done.

I don't know about that, but I do know that once your team keeps it closed, at the black screen, if you time it right, you can leave it open for next round... The other team doesn't even know it! It's really cool!

if your talking about the video where the gate opens and the big tanky-scorpion? thing comes out ... im guessing it was a mod. I wondered the same thing :D


One time, in a no-limit game, at like 4,000 it said press to open or close or w/e and it closed.. it was weird, then we couldnt reopen it. dunno

I was wondering the same thing-from the private cyan video. My guess was it was a mod.

There's no way to close it once it's opened from all the knowledge and testing I've done.

nah i dont think you can re-open it or close it.. footage was probably put in reverse

You can tell on Red vs Blue that they just played the footage backwards in order to close the gate.

That's exactly what they did...they played it backwards. Good call...

i think there should be an option though to close it.. say 1 minute after it's opened, it can be closed

I think it should be able to be closed right after being open. It would be funny for the other team to bring in a warthog or ghost to try and take the flag. Then you close the door on them and lock'em in.

yeah.. i mean.. who makes a gate that doesn't open and close? then again it does get the blue screen of death..

you can close it once it has been opened. I have done it, with a couple of friends.
