Best snipe ever?

For the snipers out there: what's the description of your best snipe ever on Halo 2 (or Halo 1)?

Mine was the other day. Me and Justus were playing system link with some other guys and Justus was on the other team, talking trash because he knows I suck at Colossus and not anywhere so he better get his trash talk in there. Well, he is going up the gravity lift and shooting at me with the BR just to piss me off. So I grab the sniper rifle when he is getting more grenades. I take down one of his guys with it, then he starts saying "Snipe me now Kyle" and goes up the gravity lift again. So when the lift shoots him up and he's coming back down, I drill him with the most amazing headshot I think I've ever had. It was perfect timing. I was completely stunned and he was just sitting there not saying anything. My team mate was behind me with the shotgun and saw the snipe and was like "OH my God...best. snipe. ever. HOLLA" Justus later admitted he got owned.

On Ascenion.. twas slayer.. top 2 guys were me and some other guy.. I was up 49-48.. I was getting seriously shot up.. was making wild jumps to get away.. jumped too far out and began falling off ledge (jumped off area above rocket spawn).. the other guy has just hit 49 kills.. I needed a kill!!!!

At the same time, someone else was jumping off as well half way across the level beside me.. we were both falling, and in a split second I no-scoped 1 shot and got a head shot.. which gave me 50 kills.. had I had not made that shot in the .25 seconds before dying.. I would have lost.. good times..

well, the best snipe for me in halo 2 was a series of snipes, actually got me a killtacular. it was at ivory and i was at where u get the sniper rifle, then 2 came at me from the right, I sniped one, head shot! then the other (dumbass) peeped out to throw a nade but i got him before he could go into hiding, then i walked towards there and noticed another enemy on the radar. i figured he was going on the air lift. then i started getting shot from my left ( he had the carbine) i scoped in and Bam! head shot. ( i havent reloaded yet) then the red dot gets ever so closer and right when i turn the corner, the guy lands from the lift and i get a non-scoped headshot! KILLTACULAR! it was so sweet. never reloaded. (it all happend so fast, i was pumped!) i went on to win that match.

in halo, it was at Gulch. i was trying to snipe someone on top of the red base. I shoot him once in the body....(it gets better) then he jumps off straight towards me. as i aim for the finishing shot, a guy respawns right behind him and once i shoot the second time, i get a head shot on the other while i got the kill on the other in mid air. although i didnt plan on the second head shot, its still a nice double kill. (if i remember correctly, the spawned guy was plewis)

I have no idea what my best was, I had a pretty nice one earlier today though. On the third level of Ivory Tower, I had just turned around after helping someone kill a guy when I saw a Plasma Pistol shot coming at me, I no scoped the guy in the head before he could pull out his BR. :hump:

i was on cogulation and i was blind sniping. i was supposed to kill that guy that was 10 feet in front of me... i missed him on the first shot. and missed on the 2nd shot, but on the 2nd shot...hit someone all the way across the other side of the map that resulted in a head shot, then finished that guy in front of me on my 3rd shot with a head shot..resulting in a double kill.

well...my most favorite is killing all 3 in a warthog in 3 shots (while moviing). it was beutiful.

Best snipe shot i did was in halo pc at blood gulch. Right when everyone spawned to start eh game i grabbed the rifle and went thro the telli to mid field, zoomed in ad took out practically 3/4 of the team within a matter of seconds. It was the most beautiful thing i have ever seen. To bad i havent done it again tho :-(

yeah that was me vman... I was just like "great" and threw down my controller then I heard your laugh and you said what happened. That was pretty sweet... my favorite snipe in halo 1 was at blood gultch. The dude was dropping in the base with the winning flag cap and I sniped his head as he was falling in the base.

In halo 2 it would probably be taking out two guys in the hog with 2 shots... haven't really gotten to play too much lately to really say for sure what my best snipe is.

BTW- I played halo 1 for the first time since halo 2 came out tonight and I loved it. We played about an hour of halo 1 then an hour of halo 2, and it actually made halo 2 more fun than usual I think. I dunno, but I still am a god at halo 1, not so much at halo 2.

Well I no scope head shotted my friend the other day on lockout. He was right by the blue jumpy thing and I was at the battle rifle place across from the sniper.

Another time would be when I kill 2 guys with one bullet. I dont know how it happened but I got a head shot on one guy and with the same bullet the guy right behind him drops aswell.

i was mid-lockout the kid jumps off level, i look over edge and no scope him when he's waayy down... dunno how it was a headshot.

Two best ever:

1. Long time ago, I can't remember if it was a clan match or a BTB now. But I do remember it being CTF on Coagulation and I did my usual plan. Wait for a bit and while all hell breaks loose somewhere, I go in and grab the flag. Someone on their team respawns and takes my ghost, so I foot it out the front door and I have no choice but to run down the middle of the field in slow motion with the flag. I'm starting to panick because I'm running and jumping around and I'm getting shot all over the place, things are looking grim. LTM360 is on my team and he's about 1/3 of the way up the field. All these enemies are dropping dead around me. I just keep running down the field and tracers are screaming to me around my head. The bullets into my back are slowing down now. LTM is sniping everyone everywhere and I was able to run all the way down the field on Coag with the flag with his single sniper support against the entire team trying to gun me down.

2: A different time, defense on Coag for CTF. Our flag get's taken out the front door yet gets dropped. I'm out there jumping around with the shotgun killing what feels like the entire enemy team. I'm getting over run when suddenly sniper tracers are flying in around me. I'm actively engaging and surviving a bloody mass encounter, and Totten is out to the side sniping all around me, over, under, to the side of me while I'm running amuck with the shotgun. We saved the flag, round over.

My best snipe was on Ivory tower I was sitting by the overshield and I was aiming for a guy through the window by the plasma riffle he was out in the middle with the rockets and right when I pull the trigger the shot didn't hit the guy through the window it hit a guy right in front me that was running by lol! I don't think I'll ever get the chance to do that again.

MIne was a series as well.
It is on waterworks, we are in the base where the warthog path comes close and is on your left looking out from the base.
I am standing beside the path as their loaded warthog goes racing by with our flag in it. I spin around and snipe the flag carrier one shot out of the passengers seat when they are about halfway down the warthog trail. They turn to come back and get me but I throw a grenade under their warthog and they drive off. The gunner gets out to get the flag and I snipe him, then I finish off the driver. Then another guy grabs the flag and runs it down to the valley, I snipe him. Then someone grabs a ghost that was down in that valley and it is facing me headon and I manage a one shot head shot that clips the top of his dome. I got killed afterwards and they scored and won the game.
I felt a little better when in the lobby the other team was laughing saying I did amazing yet my team sucked so I lost anyways.

Any of the number of no scopes I've gotten on ascension are probably my best. I sit at the top of small snipe and no scope them as they come up the ramp. I've gotten a few triple kills that way.

I have to admit that it was just chance. I don't even know if I hit the guy on the other side or not because I was so freaked out from the guy just walking right in front of me.

heh, that same thing happened to me in the Ivory Tower game I posted about earlier, I was zoomed in on someone else and all of a sudden someone came up the elevator and walked in front of me right as I was pulling the trigger.

I had a triple kill on Ivory Tower. I was sniping the upper hallway on the overshield side when my teammate alerted me that they were by the shotgun side so I go over there to get them when they come up the airlifts but three of them decided to creep under by the magnums. so i waited and watched by the needler and when they started going down the hallway i jumped down and no scoped a guy in the head goin for the elevator. little did i know there was a guy in the magnum room next to me with a sword. he pops out and i jump to avoid his lunge... turn and shoot hit him once in the body and before he can lunge again i beat him down, then smg magnum blaring the third guy charges straight at me and I pump to shots into him and walk away with no shields and a triple kill

My best stick was when me and another guy were falling off an edge and he couldn't shoot me (to get the kill) b/c he had a sniper and I just stuck a lil plasma grenade on him, I thought it was pretty neato. I have had too many no-scopes to just name one.
