 I did some research on how Gamespot rates Xbox games and IGN rates Xbox games. These are obviously the two powerhouses when it comes to reviewing games. So if they are the powerhouses they would be "experts." And if they were "experts" they're reviews would be pretty accurate and close. Well, check this out:
Out of all 41 games that have been released for the Xbox, IGN has given 318 points, so that is an average of 7.8 per game
Out of the same 41 games, Gamespot has given 295 points, so that is an average of 7.2 per game .
That may not seem like alot, but for 41 GAMES, it is.
NOW HERE'S THE REAL KILLER
NFL 2K2: PS2 score: 9.5
Xbox score: 9.3
Nascar Thunder: PS2: 8.2 Xbox: 8.0
Dark Summit: PS2: 7.8 Xbox: 7.1
NHL 2002: PS2: 8.9 Xbox: 8.7
Star Wars: Starfighter: PS2: 7.8 Xbox: 7.2
Madden NFL 2002: PS2: 9.2 Xbox: 8.6
Wasn't Xbox supossed to be the more powerful console?!
And it's just a coincidence that Ziff Davis also owns Official Playstation Magazine??.....
