Microsoft mailed invitations for the E3 event. Humm 360 circle? Xbox 360 symbol? :o

Det är inte varje dag vi får en skum spegel med 70-talsmönster i brevlådan så det tyckte vi var värt att skriva om på siten. Det märkliga brevet var i själva verket en inbjudan till Microsofts E3-presskonferens med efterföljande fest. Vad betyder de hypnotiska ringarna? Vi kommer rapportera direkt från Shrine Auditorium i Los Angeles den 16:e maj om vad Microsoft har att säga. Då har visserligen redan deras nya konsol presenterats på MTV, men vi räknar med att ännu fler detaljer presenteras på presskonferensen.

That can't be the new symbol. It doesn't seem very.. um.. cool and marketable.
I mean, how gimp is a new groundbreaking game system to be represented by a smeared color.

That logo blows. I could make that in PS, easily. And after I made it, I would be in no way proud of the final result.

Surely that's not it. If they're going to go with a name as highly marketable to idiots like 360, then they're gonna go with a much more simple, highly marketable logo.

I don't know about you, but I don't like my consoles to have the names of noble gases.

Krypton is a noble gas. It would have been clever to name it Kryptonite, keeping with the green color.

I kinda liked Xenon as well but too close to Xeon CPUs. Don't really like Xbox 360. It's a clumsy name. Perhaps it will grow on me.

I didn't really like Xenon, it reminded me of Xena: the Princess Warrior, personally not a good image to relate with a console

I think that design is gonna be the logo. The MTV commercial for the Xbox360 show ends with the circles turing into the words XBOX.
