Anyone ever sent their xbox in for dvd drive replacement?!?!

Hey all,

so after a good 15 min conversation with xbox tech i told them that they are replacing my dvd drive for free and i didnt give a crap whether it was under warranty or not.

Has anyone sent their xbox in before??? like how many days does it take for them to fix it and stuff??? i dont think i can live without it for a long time. haha.

My friends have gotten their's back ranging from 1 week to 3. It sucks, so If it ever happens to me (it is :( ) I will replace it myself... Would XBL conside it as modding tho?

Shouldn't cause your not modifying the hardware, just replacing the same part.
