You have to defuse the bombs on each side of the laser. You do this simotaneously by each of you on one side defusing the bombs at teh same time. Where you go next is into the room that you called "a dead end" and if you go behind the door you came into that room through theres a short wall there that you jump over. Basically just look in all the corners, the room really isn't a dead end :)
