View Full Version : XBA Weekly Lounge Party
For those of you who like playing Halo 2 among friends, brothers, and the community here at XBA, I propose that we have weekly games where we meet in one room and chill. We could play MLG slayers, glitchers, MLG skirmishes, maybe get some matchmaking going, and if everyone is up to it, just chill and watch TV (especially if there is something big on) but remember, anything goes. Anyway, I know that not all of you peeps can make it every week but any time is straight to drop by, even for a minute just to say hi before you play with your TS team.
Anyway, I will lead the party and send out my invites every week starting around 8 o'clock EST and it will go on till everyone goes to bed. I know I will not be there EVERY week so someone could start it without me and i am willing to give leader to someone with a kickass gametype. So be there or be square. Hopefully we can get huge partys by the time summer starts... it will be chill. BYOB or favorite refreshment and food will not be provided. :cheers:
If for any reason I am unable to create the party, anyone is welcome to start things up. NOTE: I know I won't be able to attend each one.
This thread will also be the place to be to discuss how well things went, to share stories of highlights of the night, etc. So frequent the thread to keep it bumped and catch up on what you missed if you couldn't make it.
If you are interested but not have me on your friends list, hit me up with a request but PLEASE tell me that you are from XBA or i wont accept. thanx

Rulez:
Be good sports whether you win or lose, in the end, it is just a game. This goes for MM as well as Customs
Minimize cursing most cursing is not necessary and it will prevent any uneeded beef between XBAers
Time your entrance if the party has a 4 on 4 thing going and the party isnt closed yet you get an invite, make sure you enter after the game is finished to prevent messing up a good game.
Follow variant rules don't be a party pooper by not abiding by the rules of the variant, for example, DONT scope in a no scoping game, it is always ok to ask :)
Only XBAers as much as we like to share, please limit the amount of people that are not from XBA...there will be a few exceptions ;)

How bout a lounge party is hosted on Sat & Sun. and does the time really matter? peeps can just drop by whenever. i didnt mean that you HAVE to be there at 8. 8 is just a good time for me to start. and i know peeps wont ALWAYS be there. but i know that i will want to watch family guy so we can start the sunday one at 10est.
soundscape, im pretty sure it will be mostly the MLG slayer stuff. i just threw glitches and TV in there because anything goes, but it must be a concensus with the entire party. im down for anything.

Alright, tonight (Friday, June 3rd) at 8:45, I'm gonna be on with Vman and another friend. So we'll try and get a party going. If you're gonna be online tonight look out for us.

well, we played for a little while and it wasn't fun so we put in Halo CE and had a good time... I am still deity at Halo CE but suck at Halo 2.

Halo CE is just so much more fun. We didn't get any decent games going. We were playing this weird game where you just try and hump the host and the point of the game is to change host.... freakin retarded.

i expected halo 2 to be alot like h1 and unfortunately that was not the case.
and the 'big deal' is how much this game sucks in comparison to the original.
i wasn't aware that i had fell for any hype. i didn't follow any of the hype crap that bungie was pushing before the game was released. i just bought it anticipating that it would atleast be as good as the original.

don't blame him, it's easy to get bitter about this game because we see how much fun it could be for us and instead it's not fun at all.
Just imagine halo ce on xbl; that would be a blast, but it's not so we're bitter.

I have to work tomorrow so I will be on around 9, if I am not chilling with friends or whatnot. I'm really loving playing with fellow XBAers that have skillz. We have so much fun. Even not on the LP's. Today, Elite, Xorg, and I took on some punks that wouldnot stop talking trash about how they won this BS game of snipers (custom) and they kept the BANSHEE on, plus they used it the whole friggin game. We immediately challenged them to 3v3 MLG TS at lockout and owned them. They used sword the whole time and I only got killed by nades, sword, or combo. it was ridiculous how bad they were. You do realize that FFA is different from Team games. I've had some bad FFA games myself and I've had others where it seems its impossible for me to die.

It wasnt an ffa game, it was mlg 3v3, the final score was 50-26. I don't know why its showing as an ffa game, and standbi had host.

OK we just had a mini lounge party and we played a couple games of BTB. Im especially proud of this game:

I was a beast. Got a killtacular with 4 consecutive sniper bullets. also, two triple kills and 4 "double what?"s. it was awesome.
prock, brother brett, mattgame (and kids), and chupacabra were awesome.
