Another week, another studio update...
Things are really starting to get busy around here now. I think some of the Gotham guys have actually moved into the office; forgoing any previous social life they may have had. There are more and more dark rings around eyes as the days pass and deadlines loom closer. That said... I'm just the simple web site guy, so I escape all of this hard work! In fact, I've spent a large portion of this week wandering around the office with a camera, snapping anybody who looks like they're doing something interesting.
Earlier in the week we had a bit of excitement; the sound guys and gals were out the back playing with air horns! I scampered out there with my camera to get a piece of the action. There was definitely some kind of strange audio ritual occurring (which I didn't fully understand)... but here's how it went down: A couple of the guys ran about on the grass, blowing air horns like their lives depended on it. Then they all looked at each other, shook their heads in sync, and ran in a different pattern around the grass. The world of video game audio is a strange and scary place!
A bit later in the day, we had a bit of a congregation out on the grass again. We needed some sound effects recorded for the crowd, so a gaggle of Bizarre employees were hastily assembled. Everybody huddled around a huge microphone, whilst instructions were issued - things like "shout, but make it sound like you're laughing" and "stop being so happy"! If you listen carefully when you get your mitts on the polished game, you might hear some genuine bona-fide real-life Bizarre employees in the stands!
Oh, I almost forgot. Here's another image stolen from the PGR3 internal diary; feast your eyes on this. We present... a close-up shot of some of the buildings in NYC! If this doesn't get UK:R excited, I don't know what will!
EDIT: TO ALL YOU NON BELEIVERS, THIS IS NOT FAKE. THE FOLLOWING IMAGES ARE THE WIRE MESH FORM OF THE PHOTO REALISTIC IMAGES, REALEASED BY DEVELOPER BIZZARE!!!
