Advice, unfairness

Fellow members of Xboxaddict. I currently have been having a contreversy with Xboxaddict and my computer, and submitting things. My issue is that i have written many reviews for games such as Slugfest loaded, halo2, conflict dessert storm etc, i have also written many excitement comments/ reviews, the problem is that when i have submited them they have never gone thru, as in it may say an extra review was added but it jsut never shows on the screen where all reviews are at. I dont get agrivated when this happens i just hope that it will be added in a certain amount of time. But lately i think i have changed my mind for the simple fact that i have written my first review 3 months ago and it never did show up.

I was wondering if anyone else on xbox addict has the same issue. The reason why i wonder is, that i find it unfair that people are winning prizes for writing while some people that have issues like me are limited to that privilage, of getting awards/prizes.

Hey Misterwiggles, let me look into it and get back to you. The only reason reviews don't go up usually, is because they aren't long enough. Make sure you meet the charecter minimum in each section. Anyway, let me see what I can find.

And all is well. I have to say that it is all done fairly and really with the best interest of you guys in mind. For those who know me know that I'm real and would not bs anyone here. I would suggest don't wait for the end of the contest to say something say it quick.

no i didnt i've tried reviewing in other computers public library, friends houses, etc... still doesnt show any of my reviews i have no idea whats wrong

Ok, we're really going to look into this in depth for you guys...this shouldn't happen.

My advice to you, in the mean time, is to write anything you plan on submitting in a word processor, and saving it...then, when you go to submitt it, copy and paste it into the boxes supplied, that way, if something like this happens, you have a Hard copy for submission when it gets fixed. I used to do this when I was writing reviews, and it saved my ass more than once. We'll get this fixed, don't worry.

It's usually a cookie issue, try deleting your cookies, if not I can manually go thru the database for you and tag your review to make sure they count.

Hey for all of you make sure you dont review The Xbox Gaming System.. Ive written a review for that twice.. Once when I nearly first joined and again not too long ago it pops up with some error.. Ive notified people before and I was told its not something you wopuld really review anyway.. WELL take it OFF then... lol. Anyways good luck peeps. Oh and I sent my info about my prize to Stephen.. So am I good for getting my prize? Getting soon>?

I have the exact same problem as you, Misterwiggles. I wrote a bunch of excite comments and they still haven't shown up. I talked to some people about it and they said I should wait for a couple of hours, but it's been over 16 hours now. I also wrote a review, and it says there are 7 reviews, but it only shows six. Finally, I did some news comments, and it does post those, but it says it's from a guest or unknown user. I tried clearing my cache, cookies, logging out then back in, but nothing works.

I subscribe to the RSS feed and give my two cents on many of the news stories though and they always post fine for me :)

yeah there is, i had the same problem but they were able to read my reviews, and i won, so keep your head up

Dunno about you but I like to make 40 dollars an hour whenever I can...
