What X Box game (or game/s, if you reckon a few qualify) do you reckon has the best sound compared to other games (as in the best sound mix, best sound design, best sound effects, etc.) and please elaborate on your reason/s why, for each game/s mentioned.

Thats a tough question. I mean I don't exactly pay attention to what I'm hearing. A lot of the racing games though have good sound effects, burnout3, forza etc...

I like the sound for Ninja Gaiden...why? Because I do that is why. A good a reason as any lol.

Halo: CE and Halo 2. The music and sound effects and music in both games blend in perfectly(except the sound of a SMG).

Halo had good music. but Metal Gear Solid 3 is the best use of sound any game has... :)

It's really hard to nail one game for the perfect sound.
Halo and Halo 2 had awesome musical scores but the weapon sound effects were a bit weak in my opinion. I never really got a satisfied feeling when I fired off the shotgun.

I love the sound effects in Star Wars Battle Front. You can't go wrong when they faithfully recreate every audiobit from the movies in 5.1 glory.

I really have't played a game were I think they nailed down the perfect gun sounds. Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon might come pretty close though in my opinion.

I tell you what though, the game Kill.Switch, when played in surround sound does have some pretty outstanding sound effects.

After playing the BF2 demo I have to say I was impressed with the sounds. Both voice and effects were very well done. The only issue was BALANCE with the sound effects, because whenever I turned up my volume and an airstrike would hit it was soooo loud compared to just the game.

I would have to say Counter-Strike because I love the guns sounds. Halo has nice sounds too.

MGS:2 (love the theme song) and Halo: CE....(i just LOVE those drums they had during an intense battle)
