The subject says it all. Has anyone burned a dvd with a dvdrw drive and watched it with the xbox?

I understand that the XBox will play CD-RW, not CD-Rs. Not sure about DVD-RWs, though...

Yeah, I dont think it can read cd -r`s. Because i burned a cd with a veriety of music on it for PGR and it couldnt read it. :(

Actually...there are a certain number of CD-Rs that will work. I know mine work, and they are the cheap ones from CompUSA, that arent labeled, they were just $20 for 100...
This makes me believe that maybe the sofware you use to burn CDs might make a difference, but I have had success with Win XPs built in burning programs.

Hmmm...that would make sense if only the win xp burning program could burn cd-rs that the xbox can read. I think that would be a typical move by MS (shrugs)

I highly doubt if the Xbox will read DVDRW. You may be able to get DVDRs to work though, depending on how they're authored.
