it mostly depends on the game, halo2 heck yes it is, but when i play faster paced games like timesplitters2 i say screw the sniper

lol, nice pic.

The guns are good, but how people use them sometimes are bad and its always possibly for them to be out of balance and too powerful.

For example, in some BF1942 matches everyone and their mother would be a sniper and your team would get killed because everyone was hidding looking for pot-shots while the flags fell like fat girls fighting over a ham.

I bet everyone here, who is complaining, is horrible with the Sniper Rifle..

It is fair, because its not a close range weapon, even though many can (Like me) use it like one..

As well as the fact, when your sniping, you have no radar..

Maybe it's not that other people aren't good with snipers, maybe it's that you can't compete with out them, hmmm?

For my part, I think multiplayer games would be better without them. But that isn't going to happen anytime soon.

It depends on your style of play. Some people never touch them, others use them all the time. I tend to lean more towards sniper weapons than others.

A sniper rifle is just another form of using tactics. If you don't like it then don't use it. But in some games (Halo 2) you have to adapt and use it if you want to succeed.


Me personally, I only use sniper rifles in Ghost Recon 2. :D

anyone remember the fifty cal days on rainbow six 3? lol. i loved the sniper class on ghost recon though, it kicked major ass shooting noobs who thought they could run back and forth and survive. :)

But to answer the question, i would say yes. Its a big deal to me, because i dont just like shoot people in the back or something, like hitting thier legs or arms, just to feel like i havent kill anyone.

I finsh GTA III just buy shooting people in the arms and legs. :)
