Capcom on Devil May Cry

In the recent issue of NextGen Magazine magazine, Devil May Cry's Hideki Kamiya recently commented about Capcom's upcoming PS2 title and it's chances on the Xbox or GC. While we've heard rumors about Devil May Cry coming to the Xbox, no one close to the project has yet to confirm anything. Here's Kamiya's response when asked if the title is in the works for the Xbox or Gamecube:

"I haven't been able to study other hardware, so I can't say specifically. I would say the game would look prettier on Xbox. As for Gamecube, I have a feeling it isn't the right kind of game for this platform."

It's still not clear if the game will be ported to the Xbox, but the possibility is still there.

Hmm sounds interesting.

Yeah it will happen because PS2 shouldn't have never got the title. I'm sure it will come on Xbox in the future with more stuff and wayyyyy better graphics.

Well although this isn't exactly good news for gamecube fans, its not a flat out no!:D And remember, this isn't a confirmation for an Xbox version, although the possibility seems a lot more likely now.I'm sure there are people in the company that can override his opinion, right? Some big head honcho or board of directors or something? But most likely, it won't be cube bound, or if it is, it'll come once more developers from different companies start making mature games for cube and help it lose its "kiddy" image. My guess is that the developers are waiting to see how Eternal Darkness, PD2, RE:0 and the rest will do before they give mature cubegames a shot.

What are u a dumbass? Capcom annouced that at E3 along with 3 games. They are Dino Crisis 3, Genma Omushina, and BrainBox. Like i said PS2 days are numbers and after this year Xbox will kill its ass.

That just sounds so stupid, let's look at it.

I’m willing to bet that Devil May Cry will come out on the X-Box. But when it does it will be a year later from the PlayStation2 launch, making it much less appealing. Seeing that Hideki Kamiya hasn’t even looked into other systems other than PlayStation2. Plans to port the game is practically not even on the drawing board. Also it is true that some Japanese game developers are starting to make games for X-box. But a lot more are reluctant to do so, and Japanese developers of course will always show more support for the PlayStation2, and or the Gamecube.
