Hi to all. I am new here. I just want to know if someone can give me some help. I have an Xbox manufactured on 12/12/2002 wich till yesterday did not showed a single problem. Now I tried to use it and it simply would not power up. How can I know what is the problem with it? I have a friend who told me it was probably the Power Supply unit. If there is a test I can do to know for shure? Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Well, if you dont have any warrenty, you MIGHT have to crack your baby open.

It might be as simple as the power cord... you never know what can happen to wires over the years.

It might even be the switch itself... It could have been detached from the MOBO...

Also, microsoft once said thatthere is a potentialy loose resistor on the mobo.. and a breakable wire on the power supply. You should open it up just to check. (if you have the guts :p)
