Commercials, radio, front-page articles, you begin to see groups of nerdy kids pointing and smirking at what you believe to be a nudey magazine, but no, it’s here. It’s Xbox 360. Should you believe the hype? Hell no. Is this the next biggest thing since Dolly Parton starred in Great Smoky Mountain Christmas? Perhaps. I’m here at the biggest Xbox fan site as an unbiased gamer to tell you why you should buy the new Xbox.

With the Xbox 360 being released in a matter of days many gamers (According to my last trip onto Xbox live I would classify console “gamers” as ten year olds, black people, or white people that act like black people) are wondering whether or not they should shell out next months rent money on the new Xbox 360. The answer is no, no you shouldn’t. In the next few pages I will try my hardest to convince you to keep your money in your landlords hands where it belongs, instead of tossing it towards a dead-end cause. First, I will cover the meat of the system, the specs that are the sole reason why you are paying more and more for console systems and why these games look so beautiful.

Wow. That’s, that’s a lot of ****, huh? Now that I have filled a whole page of my three page required article I will begin to diss playstation2 as an unbiased gamer. Playstation2 may have more raw power but as history proves we all know that that doesn’t necessarilly mean it is the better system. So why in the hell does roughly 35% of my article involve the specs of the Xbox 360? Your guess is as good as mine.

Onto the 2nd reason, the launch games. With 18 total games available on the launch date of the Xbox 360 I personally guarantee that there is something for everyone (if you are a nine year old with very low standards), the list is as follows:

• Amped 3
• Call of Duty 2
• Condemned: Criminal Origins
• Fifa Soccer 06
• Gun
• Kameo: Elements of Power
• Madden 06
• NBA Live 06
• NBA2K6
• NHL2K6
• Need for Speed: Most Wanted
• Project Gotham 3
• Perfect Dark Zero
• King Kong
• Quake 4
• Ridge Racer 6
• Tiger Wood 06
• Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland

Let’s face it people, 95% of those games suck ass. I’m sorry but if you can be content and have fun playing Fifa Soccer 06, you probably need to get a life. As an unbiased stupid gamer I highly recommend you spend 400 dollars on an Xbox 360, and 50 dollars on a few games simply because the graphics are awesome.

Below are a couple forum readers reasons for upgrading, I thought their perspectives were pretty common of the gamer this generation so check em out:

“the graphix r so kool!!!!!!!11” -xboxluvr4lyfe

“my oldest brother, jake, he said that the xbox 360 is rly cool and its got rly good graphics and stuff. we r gonna ask mom to take out a 2nd mortgage and buy us the new xbox. jake is 8 yrs old” -rubbrdukygamr

“im paying 400 dollars for a new console and 50 dollars per game becuz this review told me 2” -dumbass01

If this article hasn’t convinced you to not buy an Xbox 360 then im not surprised. go waste your money, dumbass.

The main point I was making was how horrible of a review that guy made for the front page of Xbox Addict.com. He said a lot of stupid things, and he wrote like he was a mature 7th grader. (All offense mean't).

+ i threw in a few cool ideas along the way, of course the article reads like the author of it is mentally screwed up and suxxorz at writing. but I couldnt get my random ideas across to be funny if I didnt dumb my wording, punctuation, and general knowledge of the english language down 10 levels.

anyways, i vote to make my review the front page of Xbox addict website.

I believe it's an attempt to convice you not to, through sarcasm that the writer probably felt this post was positively dripping with. Unfortunately, the tone in your head doesn't always transfer as powerfully to readers unless you're a skilled writer. This poster was not.

I could sit and argue this with a 3 page rebuttal of my own, but I don't see any reason to "convince" anyone for or against buying the console. Like any purchase, you need to measure what you're getting (look at screenshots, read game reviews, try the thing out) against what it costs ($400 USD + games).

Me? I don't consider that to be a lot of money, not the most expensive portion of my home theater by any means (yet it will get the most use, aside from the display itself). So, in my case, benefit > cost.

Yooo I totally forgot. I had so many opportunities when I slipped them into my apron thingy but I forgot bout taking it with me.

But yooo this hobo dude, I ran into him 3 times during work, once around 6pm when I was out back taking out the garbage he mumbles somethin and moves outa my way on the steps. Second time is like 2 hours later he comes into the returant saying "there is a lost kid out back" which there wasnt but the manager escorted him off the property. Lastly was at 930pm when I was leaving and he asked me if I could get him a hamburger, well I went to get manager again but by then he dissapeared - im guessing into the bushes near tacobell across the street.

Well said. $400 isn't that much and it will definately get a lot of play time, there's no question. Even the first Halo will get a ton more playing time from me now that it's improved. Is it worth $400 just for that game? Well, only if it was on-line; however, it's not.

I plan on getting Perfect Dark Zero...that should tide me over for awhile.

see...right there I lose any respect I had for your purpose and intent in coming here to present your views in an adult fashion (though admiteddly your original post was hardly gushing with maturity).

Not that I'm defending or agreeing (or disagreeing) with Misterwiggles' comment; but your response and general need to defend yourself from such a comment, stacked with the use of the term "lolol" reveals much concerning your character.

If I may, I might also comment that your bout of self-riteoussness is misplaced. You are not here out of the kindness of your heart to assist our misguided selves and save us "a month's rent". You're here because you're disgruntled towards the console for one reason or another. If you have a beef with the 360, with microsoft, or with us, then out with it already; I love a good vent as much as the next person, just don't candy coat it

Alright, I am going to be genuine and totally serious now. I want to bring up a huge concern I have with consoles in general.

The games are horrible.

I bought an Xbox because I only focused on the few titles I knew I'd enjoy. This only left me playing six titles max in all the years the Xbox was released and games were being developed for it.

Also I am not really sure what's been going on with me recently. I used to be a hardcore gamer (Big into the MMO's, staying up all night raiding with guilds talking to friends online and playing console games in my spare time from PC games) then I started straying from games.

I cancelled my subscriptions to my MMO's and uninstalled most of my games. I took a year long break and tried coming back over the summer because I was very bored and had a lot of spare time. I didn't feel the same when I was playing the games I used to love, I couldn't get into them.

Then I tried playing console games, holy cow could I not get into them anymore. I can't find any games anymore that interest me. The only one that kept me held onto for the longest time was Tribes2 but I even gave that up a few months ago. Now I'm down to absolutely nothing.

Am I unhooked? Are games only fun if you are at least a little bit hooked onto them? I'm not sure what's going on anymore, but I'm sure it's for the best.

Good man, that's much better. I've run into bouts like that, but I always got my passion for gaming back. My brother shares your view though. He used to love games as much as I do, but he's barely touched a game for about 4 years, the only exception being coop halo and halo2.

I always create drama. It amuses me ;)

But why the original attack then? What makes you feel the need to push your beliefs on others, is it not enough to simply express your opinion honestly and without the pedestal?

Damn, if I cared about post count, this thread is sure good for it :hardcore:

Well shade is right about one thing, although something makes sense in my head if I'm not a skilled writer it's not going to come across to the reader.

It's not like I took hours upon hours to revise and make this half-assed review not so half-assed. I just threw something together because I thought it would get deleted from these threads anyways.

But basically I wrote it not because I am necessarily trying to convince people not to buy the Xbox, but moreso to convince people that the unbiased review on the front of this website isn't so unbiased.

The picture definitely got a laugh out of me.

But yea, there's still lots of games coming out for Xbox, I don't have an HDTV so all the graphical spiffiness of some of these titles will be non-exisistant on my 32" Curtis Mathes, and excluding PD0 (I was real excited for CoD 2 but the MP is gonna have no longevity with a mere 8 players), launch doesn't have anything amazingly appealing to me (Kameo being a rental, most of the others being sports titles already released so no point bothering with them till next year).
