Does the 360 really sound like a jet taking off?

I have read that it does, and it makes me wonder, how can the 360 be so much louder then a PC with 7 case fans covering an overclocked processor to around 3.0ghz be quiter then the 360??? :watchout:

its a LOT louder than any console out now... Even my 3.2 Ghz P4 and Nvidia 6800GT overclocked isn't as loud (5 case fans). Its just loud lol.

Well it's eaither really noisey at my house and i don't hear it, or I must be special. I don't hear anything louder than the old Xbox or my PC.

I've seen the same comments elsewhere, I wonder if the position may have anything to do with it, mines Horizontal not Verticle. Again, mine souds fine, no complaints here. :confused:

I haven't heard a thing. As a matter of fact my old xbox makes more noise.

Mine is horizontal also, but it does sound extremely loud.... Nothing the sound of gameplay can't block out though :)
