I was at wal-mart today and had an Epiphany. For those of us that like Multiplayer the oldschool way. Split Screen. And if you have buddies that like to forget their controlers you probably have 3 or 4 of your own. And I don't know about anyone else I don't really want to have a wire EVER AGAIN. So anyways.... Wal-mart happened to have their 360 display in the same isle with the rechargable batteries. So what I did was bought the fastest and best quality charger and some back up "AA" rechargables so I can always have a fresh set handy. Don't know if this is a dumb Idea but it is an Idea. Just case you haven't thought of it already. The play time wont be as long as play and charge. But I will never have wires accross my room again that my friends and dog can run through and yank out :cuss: WIth a quick charge charger some of them can do 4 batteries in under an Hour. I want to here some thoughts on this.

I like the idea of the play and charge kit... with your rechargeable batteries idea, you have to actually stop your gameplay... with the Play and Charge... you just hook up a cable.... Pretty neat I think! :)

The play and charge kit sold just as well as the 360's themselves...or at least at my Walmart they did. There are absolutly none left.

In theory. Many of us don't have our Xbox360 handy to the point where we can plug in without interrupting play anyway.

I like using these: http://www.energizer.com/products/lithium/ . They weigh in at about 1/4 of alkaline cells, and give you a somewhat longer life.

I prefer Duracell.... I find they last the longest of them all.

I'll likely pick up the play and charge kit for the wireless controller...the problem is finding one...they're sold out everywhere! Batteries are fine for now, but, I have to get one....

I like the Play and Charge kits, grabed a couple at launch. Their nice because not only can you charge while playing if need be, but you can also hook them up to your PC overnight and charge them. ;)

I hear they are going to make a quick charger for the MS battery soon. It will be more convenient.

here is probably a dumb question, but can you plug the play and charge kit into a computer to let it charge? in the USB port obviously???
