No you don't "need" them. By normal do you mean a Tv from 1982 with wood grain on it? If so then no it wont look good on a "normal" television.

I have CRT monitor and looking to buy xbox 360 adapter for it. Its cheaper that way.

I have a regular 31 inches TV (1999 sanyo) xbox 360 looks great! But the words are bit blurry. HDTV or CRT w/adapter would be the best choice.

Svideo is not bad. Wouldn't a CRT monitor kill the ol' peepers?

I'm playing on a 106" DLP HDTV Projector...it looks sexy :D

I also have a 50" HDTV...I'll never go back to a tube, but, I do have one small tube television I watch in my family room... a tiny 36" :(

Alright, Max is hearby banned from participating in these discussion due to :midget: .....well, jealousy.

Needed, no. Prefered, yes. I don't have anything as exotic as my buddy Max, but I bought a 27" HD for my office just for gaming, it cost me about $500, but worth it. I'm one of those people who buys nothing but "Widecreen" editions of DVD's so I can see the movie as it was intended.

This is my same thought on gaming, if you can of course, I want to play the game as it was intedned, in HD with Dolby Digital surround.

Can I get an Amen! :hail:
