The adapter for the original Xbox will work, along with any number of similar devices available. Here's a selection of them from Dlink, Linksys, Netgear and Belkin. There's a good number of other brands out there too. Just look for a "Ethernet Bridge" or "Wireless Bridge". Given that you're not running a dedicated T3 fibre line or any such, you won't notice any difference in your gaming if you buy a 'G' or 'B' bridge. It will only affect the speed that you can transfer files to and from your computer. Some models may give you better range, but there's no telling which, and that mostly comes down to your router's quality anyway.

Do you think this one will work for the 360 as far as going wireless. Thanks a bunch

The model is: WUSB54G if the link doesn't work. It's a linksys

I was curious though. The adapter Microsoft makes for the 360 attaches to the back of the system and has a usb cable. How do these others work as far as that goes. I'll definitely love spending less than $100 if i could

The other adapters like the old Xbox one are ethernet adapters. They just plug right into the ethernet port of the xbox.

I really hate saying this but, spend the money on the 360 adapter. I moved my 360 to a location without a hard line conection which really bothered me becasue of XBL.

Tried a few wireless configurations with ok success, but then I bit the bullet and bought the "Official" hardware and I have to admit it works phenomonaly.

Great connection, speed, and no lag. Grant it, it all starts with the service you have, but the adapter was quick, easy, and works really well.

This coming from someone who rarely goes with the "Official" anything when it comes to network connections.

BTW, hit up New Egg and get it for under $90 shipped.;)
