has anyone else had problems with the console loading slower and slower until it will not load at all . my machine also started freezing during game play. two different machines have acted this same way and one is totally a paper weight at this time. xbox said to send it in and they will fix it for $75. what do you think is the best thing to do? is there something that i can do at home to fix one or both of these machines?

dont fix it, save for a 360

Use a CD Cleaner that saved my Xbox.

I'm a technotard so i'm not sure what drive i have or how to find out. please tell me how.

The first one is a Thomson which is the worst one you can have. The second is a Samsung which is the best. And the third is a Phillips which is in the middle, not as good as Samsung but better than a Thomson.
