what's the deal with this?
i never really played it much 'till the past few days since i got nba 2k6. and now it freezes up on me before i can get into the second quater of a game most of the time.
oh, and i just noticed that when it freezes that the lights around the power button on the console flash red.
does anyone know if this is most likely a problem with the game or the system itself?
thanks.

this is rediculous. i can't even listen to a complete song before it freezes up on me...everytime. wtf?
it must be a problem w/ the console because it's even freezing up in the menu with no game in it.

Where is it located? is the power supplu well ventilated? Try making sure the airways are clear for proper ventilation, and make sure that the power brick is also clear, because it is the external power supply and needs air.

both the console and power supply are sitting ontop of my entainment center next to each other. there's nothin up against or ontop of them that's blocking their ventilation. that was the first thing i made sure of.
thanks though, salmonaitor.

I would go into where you got it, and complain, then find out what their stock situation is, and how long it will take to get another. Just don't take you Xbox with you the first time you go in. Also, call 1-800-4my-xbox, and see what they have to say.

the closest wal mart that has one in stock is about 40 miles away, but they're willing to let me exchange it. problem solved, i guess. thanks again, man.

I think if it is within 90 days they will exchange it at the store and after 90 days you have to send it out for a new one or get it fixed
It might say on your warranty pamplet they gave you, if you got it

I did last week.. they sent out a box for me to ship to them...
best thing to do right now.. you'll either get it all fixed up or a new one.
