xbox stops and red light flashing

I replaced my philips lens on my xbox ver 1.0 and blew the dust off the motherboard. the next day it would play for about 15 min and get the red flashing light and error message. lens repaired read error but don't know if i got a dvd problem or overheat problem maybe caused by dvd or blowing it out. will play again if let sit for a couple of hrs and have same prob after 15 min. any suggestions

This happened to me also but my Xbox also made a clicking sound. I got it repaired by Microsoft. If you send it in to Microsoft be sure to copy any of the save games you want to keep onto a memory unit. Cause the games will not come back
