Headset not working

Anybody have any problems with their headset not working? I'm hoping I'm just missing a setting or something because the only problem is the ear piece isn't putting out any sound. People can hear me apparently.

i dont know if this is going to help.......i dont have a 360 but i have problems with my headset on mx vs atv unleashed......sometimes i can hear people but they cant hear me and vice versa. the problem is within the game not my xbox. so do u have probs with just one game or all........my guess is you prolly have tested with other games otherwise you wouldnt have posted but i was just giving it a shot.
