xbox controllers won't work

is there any way that the xbox can burn controllers, because 2 of my controllers wont work any more ,what can i do fix the problem?

So they just don;'t work at all? Cant move or anything? Thats really weird. Try unplugging the xbox for about a half hour. Try plugging the controller in when you are in a game menu.

thx but the funny thing is that is only on the 2nd port

so the controllers work on the 2nd port? If it works then there is no problem with the controllers..the problem would be with the ports on the xbox. maybe they are really dirty and the contacts arent connecting properly. try some compressed air and blow the dirt off.
