Greetings,

I'm buying a 360 from Gamestop on Friday. After I have bought the system, I still have enough to buy 2 games. I have already made my mind up on one will be Madden 2006, I played it at Wal-Mart, absolutely amazing.

But some of my friends on live tell me to get Oblivion because it provides hours and hours of playing and will be very hard to fully complete the whole game. Yet some others say Call Of Duty 2 is the best game to buy for its online Multiplayer play. I already have Halo 2 which I've been playing online for like a year and am still perfectly content with.

So, the question is Oblivion or Call Of Duty 2?

You can't go wrong with either...but Oblivion is truely an amazing RPG. I think I'd pass on Madden though. 2007 is coming out shortly and 2006 looks great but is lacking in may of the core Madden features.

Welcome to XBA Hail2DaSkins, hope you enjoy your stay!

I personally like Call of Duty 2 a little better than Oblivion, however like Codefox said you can't go wrong with either. Both games are very good. I would also suggest to hold off until Madden 2007 comes out, it should be much better than 06.

I say wait for Madden 2007 as well and then you can save up for that in August and go ahead and pick up both Call of Duty 2 and Oblivion. If you really want Madden though I would say go with Call of Duty 2 just to get you unhooked from Halo 2:cool:

Don't get Madden. Only 2 player support (only vs.) and lacking a lot of features, you gotta hold off until 07' (coming out Aug.)

If you'd have to choose between the 2, I'd go with Oblivion cuz CoD2 is fun but you can't see your stats, no clans, and they added a lobby system only recently. With CoD3 coming out this fall if I'm not mistaken, there really isn't a point.

Oblivion is fantastic.. but after finding out about the leveling system I really haven't touched it in a while.

COD2 if you want the most intense single player campaign of your life (IF you play on veteran!). Oblivion if you're gay.. not that there's anything wrong with that.

Oblivion by a longshot--COD2 was fun, but after SP is done, which isn't too long, there's not much to do. Oblivion is incredible, prettier, more in-depth, better polished, and a more interactive and immersive experience. I've clocked in probably over 70 hours, just beat the main quest, and still have lots to do--guild tasks, random dungeons, miscellaneous quests--and I haven't even touched the thieves' guild or assassins' guild yet.

If you have a half-decent PC, even if it's not as powerful as the 360, get Oblivion for PC. There's ways to fix not only the levelling system, but to make the game look that much more gorgeous, among other things. If only they'd release the OOO mod (Obscuro's Oblivion Overhaul) for the 360...

If you don't have a good gaming PC, then I still say get it for Xbox 360. Even with it's faults, it remains one of the best titles around.
