I think denzel would be an excellent choice for MC, far better than Will Smith by any standard haha. Denzel is an amazing actor who always hits his mark in every role, he'd be great to have in the cast of Halo.

Seriously though, I think Rock would do a good job at it as well, seeing as MC says little to nothing, and noone would know who was inside the MJOLNIR (Forgot how to spell the thing) so even if it was Denzel, no one would know it was him unless he actually took of the helmet... So really, plus Denzel's guns aren't as big as Rocks so there's a plus lol.

No way! The Rock is a terrible actor. He ****ed over DOOM, and this is an identical shooter-type game/movie. Denzel is an amazing actor, my vote's on him.

I don't mind Denzel playing as MC as long as the helmet stays on. Like someone mentioned earlier the books talk about him being pale white so hopefully they don't make any contradictions.

that guy would be AMAZING as Agent 47 of the Hitman series...

anyway, I don't get why they would spend so much money on a big name actor like Denzel when it would be a lot cheaper and probably better to have some nobody play MC and have the voice actor do voices. Because i'm assuming the helmet won't come off.

If its because he came to New Zealand to meet with Peter Jackson (producer of the halo movie), then I can say quite candidly that they did not meet to discuss halo. Well, that is what my brother tells me who works for weta digital - jackson's animation team.

Personally, although i think 'The Rock' is a bit of a knob, he would be a lot more suited to the position.

His name is Jason Statham. If you like British comedy, he's also in "Snatch", and "Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels". (Very Funny movies)

I think I would rather have a CG Masterchief as Jason Statham's British accent might mess some people up.

Seriously, though...in Transporter, he often used a low voice that he could make it suit the MC almost perfectly. Also, a little speech training could easily rid him of his accent atleast during the shoot. His athletisism is pretty incredible and I believe it would seperate him as a great candidate. A long time ago, I heard of a rumor that they may talk to him about the role...but, again, that was just a rumor.

Personally, I think Denzel would make a great Sargeant - and he could act out in a way to maintain the integrity of the movie should it come across as more of an epic versus a comic book style movie. Kinda like comparing the old batman movies with the newer "Batman Begins". I hope it has more of an epic style.

who ever plays the Chief better be flipin tall in his suit he is 7 foot, and yes the chief is white so i am thinking denzel and the Rock are out. I myself hope they dub in the voice from the games and dont' show him with out his suit, Unless they start the story from the first book which i think would kick ass!!
