Well, i dont know the exact story but, accoring to IGN and Gamespot, Microsoft has sold a little bit under half of its Xboxes in Japan! They shipped 250,000 and sold 123,000 so far, and thats not too bad, but according to Gamespot, because the PS2 and the Gamecube have been out so long, and the fact that its(XBOX) price tag is so high...this is the cause of the relatively low launch numbers.

So basicly thats all i know so far man.

Untill next time, the GRAVEDIGGER has spoken:mad:

Almost half of what they've shipped isn't too bad with all things considered. I think people in Japan have a bad attitude toward the box but over time with word of mouth their opinions will change and xbox will do ok.

At least this is what I'm hoping for.

Once the majority of the Japanese population discover that:

1. The XBox has more processing power than their cute little PoS22 does (almost triple, in fact)
2. Broadband capable (standard)
3. System Link capable (standard)
4. Has a hard-drive (standard)
5. Has a slew of 3rd party companies creating games for it, which includes the great wonders of Sega, Rockstar, Activision, etc
6. Many of the same games found on the PoS2 will be upgraded by adding new levels, more playable characters, more weapons, etc...
7. Yada yada yada ;)

the bad thing about being released after the holiday season, is that most people probly bought the ps2 and gamecube for christmas and stuff, so no one had any money left to buy xbox
