2 Kinds of 1st party wired controllers?

Hey guys, How come I've seen two kinds of official microsoft wired controllers? One is in a red package for 49.99 and one is in the white xbox package for 59.99 and they both look exactly the same, and both have the Microsoft logo on the package.

What's the difference?

Oh? I thought the 360 one worked on the PC as well? It's just USB afterall.... why would they need two?

it's not just usb. the pc one is different. though i believe it works with xbox360 also. They did make it so your 360 controllers (regular) will not work with pc, unless im mistaken.
