During halo2 I keep losing my connection to live, the singal is good on my wireless, and I have dsl, maybe a problem within my router or what, please help me cuz I'm getting pissed having to reconnect every single game. I dont think I've played with out getting dropped yet...

You might need to check your DNS settings. I had trouble with that as well.

Run a "test connection" thing on your xbox and you DNS should say closed,strict,open

You need it to be open, if it isnt call your ISP and tell them you need to change your DNS settings and they will walk you through it.

my nat is strict but my dns seems to be fine, could it still be dns settings or does my nat messing it up

Yes that is messing you up, probably...I know thats what my issue was.

i have the same problem when playing halo 2 on xbox live i run the test xbox live connection i get this so everthing looks to be ok when the test is done. this is driving me nuts did you find a fixs for this yet?

i have verizon dsl with a westell versalink model 327w and xp home with sp2

Hello, Im having the same problem.. I checked my test connection and my Nat is open and everything else is open but I keep getting disconnected from XBL like every game or so on Halo 2 Please someone help me fix this!

May be the redirecting of traffic can help u. I use http://strongvpn.com VPN service to have the static IP. Hope it will help u. :cool:

I used to have problems, too, but, I bought a new router and all is well. It always worked fine before, but, it was definately a tired router...so, I dug a hold, inserted the router in it to bury it, and then bought a new one. Yes, the good old router has a grave marker.
