View Full Version : NBA Live 07: Praise and Invective

There are many things to like with NBA Live 07 ("original" Xbox version), like a nice running game, better shooting mechanics, and a simpler free-throw procedure. But the fact that there are fewer camera angles during gameplay (and they are no longer adjustable with the controller sticks) than last year to me seems inexcusable.

What do you folks think?

i was going to get live but it got really bad reviews online and the few peopel i talked to said it was horrible so i got 2k7 and it is ****in sweet, in all honestly it is probably the best basketball game i have played. Although i have only had it for a few days. graphics are amazing and the gameplay is solid, although i am having sometrouble getting the hang of the free throws.

Yeah, I took a chance and just bought NBA Live 07, but I must say I am already thoroughly disgusted and bored with it. So I'll trade it in and get 2K7. Drat.

Neither one will blow your doors off. 2K7 is better in gameplay and Live has the better graphics. I will trade my 2k7 in as soon as possible.

How can EA dare to put out something so dreadful?

Because they have the money and the market share to do so. We will see the very least they have to dish out to make money. We are the victims and will continue to be until we do something about it.

We are the victims and will continue to be until we do something about it.Well, I imagine that their sales will slip this year because the game totally sucks; besides, they have been steadily losing ground to the "2k" series which consistently garners better reviews. It's odd, too, because their other offerings, like FIFA Soccer and Tiger Woods Golf, are really quite excellent. And there are certainly older version of Live that were solid or very good (NBA Live 2005 is one example).

They don't repect the 2k series enough. I guarantee you next years offering will be 100 percent better after 2k kicks their ass this year.

FIFA is going to be good because their is legitimate comp for them as far as soccer games go and they want that European money.

And Tiger is good but have they made any real changes lately? If Links could come back and challenge them even that game would be better.
