xbl problems

my friend has an arris TM420p cable modem and his xbl doesnt work. his xbox ip settings are setup to find them automatically, we even tried to put them in manually but it still says that dns has failed. i was also wondering if any one knew the default login for the modem

call 1-800-4myxbox they know how to fix everything

thanks maybe next time i have issues i figured this one out, all i had to do was reset the modem
