what do I need in addition to the xbox 360?

My son has the regular xbox with xbox live. He has some sort of wireless connection with a wireless headset communicator. We are buying him an xbox 360 for christmas so I was wondering if I need to buy anything new as far as the xbox live or does what we already have go with both systems? Thanks

Your son's Xbox Live account will transfer to the Xbox 360 and work on that console. There is even an account transfer process that you do when you turn on th 360 for the first time.

The wireless connector he has for the Xbox might even work for the 360. Don't know about the wireless communicator, I highly doubt it.

Out of the box,with his current Xbox Live account, you have everything you need in the box.
The wireless stuff is optional.
