The screenshot above was snapped at an Xbox Live event and it clearly shows that the hard drive for this Xbox 360 has 70 GB free meaning that there are newer hard drives available that are at least 70+ GB. This seems to make sense to coincide with the release of high definition video content, which will demand more space than the current 20 GB hard drives have, and with demos and game videos piling up after a year of use. I personally cannot wait for a larger hard drive but only can wonder as to how gamers will be able to transfer information from one drive to another. Also, if 70 GB, rather than 80GB (a more standard hard drive size) is the only larger size the drives will be available in, I do like the quiet shot that Microsoft is taking at Sony, who’s largest PlayStation 3 drives will be 60 GB.
