best way to kill the Tank from far?

is there a spot where you can shot the tank with the sniper rifle like on the first halo. is the rocket still the best way from far?

Rockets or boarding it is the best way. Obviously rockets is the easiest.

I guess the only "weak" spot would be to aim for the ****pit. But if I remember correctly, it is pretty well protected in Halo2

Grab a warthog and 2 soldiers and round em up .. you in the drivers seat and have a blast
doing circles around it.. its great fun! and it works.. its not from afar but adds more fun to taking it out!
