Havin some tray trouble

Hey guys, I have an original xbox thats been workin fine for about 2 years now, but lately when i try to close the cd tray it will just pop back out again. If I keep trying eventually it will stay in, and games still load properly, but its annoying as hell.

Anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this up, short of taking it in for repairs?

open it, make sure there's not anything blocking it from closing. check the gears inside the drive, too
