if anyone gives me a valid reason to keep playing halo 2 as their primary gamewhen they own a 360, i will give them a cookie. note, dont put something like: cuz its cool. if you feel passionately about the subject, trust me, you can write a paragraph without even realizing it.

It's the still the best gameplay out of all the games so far, the main reason I even bought a 360 was because of Halo 3.

No not really. You dont see many modders on live anymore.

It really depends on your level. I am in the 20's for what I play and will see some form of cheater at least once every day depending on how long I play for. Bungie is going to do their best to solve the cheater problem but they won't get rid of cheaters entirely.

Halo 2 is my primary game even though I own a 360 because after buying the 360, I could not afford to buy any games so I play Halo 2 and Forza.

Well, that would be my valid reason paragraph. Where is my cookie? :)

Kidding, sort of. When I got my 360, I got Project Gothem 2 and Forza. To get my 360, I sold my regular X-box and ALL the stuff I had on e-bay. I threw in all my games to get the most out of the deal and my freinds have tons of Halo 2 copies because we have LAN parties all the time. So for a while, that was my reason for H2 being my primary game.

I am slowly getting more 360 games but still play Halo2. Can't wait for the new maps. Hopefully they redo a classic Halo map again. Prisoner would be awesome for Halo2!

Why to play Halo 2 when you have a 360?

I play Halo 2 at a Tournament Level. We have a pretty popular Clan with close to famous montage's. People in out Clan have competed in Caleague.com, Clantacular.com and MLG Online tournaments. We always at least make it to the play-off's. But when you are playing against SK Halogod v2 and other people that are a legit 40 in rumble pit, it gets kinda rough.

Halo 2 is still the most played game on XBOX Live period.

Todays stats on xbox live for Halo 2 are:

Unique Players: 304,720

Matches Logged: 778,746

Players Online: 64,810

To be honest with you I have Gears of War and it is a crazy awesome game, but it still does not touch Halo 2. For one it is random matchmaking. No team feeling. That sucks butt. Oblivion is awesome and if it was live i might feel different, but it is not. So once you beat it with 200 hours of game play. Then you can only do so much, but Halo is a totally different Subject all together. On XBOX Live playing Halo 2 you never have the same game and the competition level is there.

I agree Cheating is still around and they are even modding on old maps now, but it is not as frequent as it was. Also Cheating is only about your level, I have had all the high ranks (36-39), but to me now they really are not that important. Actually I laugh when I get cheated, because it is all about a fake rank on a video game, lol.

So the main reason I say to Play Halo 2 is friendships and the game play on live is better then any other game out even on the the 360. Join a good clan and start to build a brotherhood. Send me a friend request. I will play if you like.
