xport drivers

Ok, so I recently got a 360 and picked up the Datel xport adapter. It's supposed to turn the 360's hd into a usb device. I wanted to copy over my xbox save games along with a smoother way of transfering the tons of mp3's I have. I get home and try the install...only to have the drivers not work, xp see it as a usb mass storage device and ignore the drivers that come on the cd. Has anyone else used this item? Heard of it? Hand any issues or help with it? I'm hoping I just have a faulty driver or something.
