I need help that big ass general, the one with, what looks like, a black trench coat, I CAN'T GET PAST, I think i'm almost done with the train, I'm up to the point where I have to kill the general dude, I know I have to get to the back on the machine gun... BUT I CAN'T GET ON IT, atleast not long enough so that I do anything, right when I start shooting those damn birds get me.... Help would be appreciated...

The car before the boss has a sniper rifle.. Pick it up along with the Assault rifle and grenades.

Tips:
Aim for the head.
Dont shoot when the evil flying kittens are around him.
Dont bother with the turret.
Stay in the light.

Wait wait wait.... So I can kill the guy... With the sniper rifle?

I killed him with a shotgun, i just kept shooting him with an assault rifle till he got close (i was behind that piece of cover right out the door), and when he got close just blast him with a shotgun and run to the other side where there is a similar piece of cover, rinse, lather, repeat

yeah thats general raam, and once you beat him you beat the game. i did this on hardcore with a friend and we didnt have much trouble. we would just keep shooting his head with the lancer and sniper, and when he got close we would tag him and pull out shotguns.

Was it just me or was the ending really lame? Kill the guy, and thats ALL!? like come on now.

A little short on story but the sequel will take care of most of that. Most satisfying kill in all of gaming for me when I made his head look like spaghetti.

I thought he was too easy to beat. My brother and I beat him easily on insane. But I do agree that the story is good enough that the simple ending wont hurt the series as it will only lead into more.

It was satisfying in a way where I was completely intimidated by the sheer size of him and I faced my fears and smoked his ass.:cheers:

I just beat him today and heres how I randomly did it with a friend during co-op.

We were blasting Raam like you should when you first see him. As he came toward I stupidly hopped out of that first peice of cover and then ended up behind the stack of poles, from there Raam was getting to damn close so I hightailed it to other side of the train effectively running past raam as he came toward me, now apparently what happened as I ran past him, Ramm turned toward me and my friend shot the living crap outta Raams back and he died
and we won. Yay!

yea, i didnt want to face RAAM alone on hardcore, really just because the AI in that game SUCKS. so me and my friend got together, me with the longshot, him with the lancer, and we just kept running back and forth on the train and unloading on him when the krill were gone. and yes, that final kill was very awesome.
