Gears vs. Resistance

Although I've only played Gears of War as of yet, I think it is the clear winner... except perhaps in the vehicle department (seeing as how there is only one).

Now, I still think resistance is a high quality game, but not the Halo-killer (heck, now they need a Gears-killer) that Sony was looking for. That said, I'm still looking forward to playing Fall of Man at my friends house when he gets his PS3, he already has the money saved up.

yeah, thats basically what he's saying. hell i have friends who think Halo 1 and 2 are horrible games, just because both are on xbox and they think the world of ps2 and nintendo.

I have played both and Resistance looks good and plays good but it's not even a Halo killer so never mind Gears.

Gears looks, plays... and is godly.
I really really think so, i had high expectations for the game - all of them were surpassed.

though I really think these were the wrong games to put head to head.

do i even have to say it...... that p.o.s doesnt offer replay value <~bought ps3 bought resistance..... sold it in 4 days on ebay made 2 g's not bad right... anyways that game couldnt kill castlevania on xbox live ... it was fun to run around not knowing where ur going and evrey 3 secs a damn alian would pop out .... but the concept needs work good graphics though ... but its not beating gears at all

How people have many different views... I liked gears for maybe two weeks... Then like halo It became unappealing... I really don't know why though, other than the annoying kids who started playing the game and screaming over the microphone with their little mousy voices everytime they died... Halo 2 and three and gears are all games that i liked for the first two weeks, beat and just stopped playing... Oh well...

Resistance and Gears have pretty fun campaign mode but when it comes to multiplayer Gears wins hands down in my book, ive never had more fun then playing GoW online with my XBa brothas in any other shooter out there... I would love to get back online with ya mattgame and play some execution matches for 8 hours straight. You can curb stomp their heads in after i knock em down with my active reload longshot,cmon i know you wanna :p

I WAS going to until i was playing Phantasy Star Uniniversse online and started talking about gears with someone there and how its my favorite game ever and whatnot. Then he told me that the new update completely ruined the online gaiming part of the game by making the lancer stronger and the shotgun weaker so no one uses shotguns anymore,and by taking the sniper rifle an make it so when your strafing left or right and try to shot your bullets wont go straight.... i mean WTF where they thinking that justs ruins the game more then everyone glitching all the time did. :cuss:

unless you can convince me otherwise i may not pick this one up again which makes me want to cry.

I actually got to play resistance in its optimal setup (55" LCD w/HDMI) and I wasn't impressed...
I looked sort of like a high res ps2 game, and the controls weren't the best in it either (I found it to be twitchy).
Personally I think gears is better but thats just me.
