Microsoft’s really taking it to Sony aren’t they? According to Xbox Team Portugal, Square Enix may be selling the Chrono license to Sakaguchi-san’s Mistwalker. Sourcing German publisher Wunderlampe, the fan-site describes its report as being a good possibility with a bit of skepticism, even though the Final Fantasy creator’s development studio could eventually craft the Chrono series into the beloved games it once was. Still, with numerous Mistwalker exclusive Xbox 360 titles still on the way, this may be still too far off to call. Heck, the other franchise rumored to be bought out was Kingdom Hearts (to Buena Vista Games). If only I could see the look on your faces right now.
This rumor seems very feasible no matter how little chance it has from becoming true. If MS were to buy the Chrono License and if Mistwalker were to develop this game then I will splooge my own face.

I am not a huge RPG fan but I am a big Xbox fan. Anything that helps MS gain foothold in the console market and increases their market share. I am all for it.

this is great news, im am a huge RPG fan, im still waiting desperatly for FF12 seeing as it isnt released over here in the uk till FEB 28th. There was another rumor floating around that S-Enix were planning to release all their next gen FF games on all next gen consoles. Which i really hope is true because i dont fancy buying a PS3 tbh.

I am all for RPG's and it will definetly increase XboX sales with more RPG's coming to the
360. Most people who buy PS2-PS3 is for the abundance of RPG's that they have.
