There have been some cool classics released on the Arcade already. What do you want to see come out on Xbox Arcade?
I used to own the real Karate Champ arcade game. That would be a great one to come out. It utelized 2 joysticks. That would be a great transition to the 360 controller. (like Smash TV controls)

I was really happy to see we are getting Soul Calibur from the Dreamcast. That is one of the only fighting games I will play.
I would like to see Shining Force, Phantasy Star 4, Beyond Oasis, or something else good from Sega's days of making GOOD games. Since we got a crop of other Sega games earlier, I am waiting for next bunch.
I have long since given up on seeing anything from Squaresoft and obviously we will never get anything associated from Ninetendo, so it kinda narrows it down.
I got a better idea.....why not actually take the time to ADD something to the Xbox original releases (like achievements and multi-player in titles that didn't have it before) instead of rehashing crappy arcade games like Yi Ar Kung Fu?

Because that's not the point of Xbox Originals. They aren't all MS games, so even if they wanted to, it's not like they can go changing it however they want. The point of them is to play the game if you missed it when it originally came out and play it the meant it was designed to be played.
Yes, I understand adding Multi to the Halo 1 would be godly, but it won't happen.

I understand the theory behind the 'Xbox Originals' line of games and I won't start a debate here as this thread is about something else.
I will say that it's an obvious and lazy way to get people to purchase games for the original Xbox. The reason they want you to download those games is that it will fill up your hard drive quicker and hopefully get you to shell out the $ to purchase their over-priced, larger hard drive. And to top it off, they don't make the game ANY better and you are still paying more for the game than you can get it at a local used videogame store or on Ebay on DISC.
I will admit, I would rather pay $15 to play Halo again then pay $10 for some lousy, overpriced XBLA game (cough.....Undertow) that doesn't deliver more than a few hours of quality gameplay. Thankfully, there are some nice choices out there on XBLA to go along with the crap.
I will also second another person who mentioned Killer Instinct. Why have we not seen that game on XBLA? It's made by Rare. Might as well get SOMETHING for their over-priced purchase of that overrated company. And I realize we may never get Goldeneye due to liscening issues, but what about the original Perfect Dark?

You are kidding right? Lazy way? Why would they put all the effort into doing it then.
The reason they want you to download those games is that it will fill up your hard drive quicker and hopefully get you to shell out the $ to purchase their over-priced, larger hard drive.
Wow, you've figured MS out and the conspiracy theories.
And to top it off, they don't make the game ANY better and you are still paying more for the game than you can get it at a local used videogame store or on Ebay on DISC.
The point for the Xbox Originals WASN'T (read) to make them better or change them in any way, it's a chance for people to play some of the great titles that may have been missed (specially the ones that had no media attention)

So just because MS has RARE, they are obligated to put all their old stuff out just because you want it? If you think it's as easy programming wise and legally wise to just do what they want, then you clearly don't know what has to go on in the back end.
Xbox Originals is a great idea. I'm surprised they picked some great titles like Indigo Prophecy and Psychonauts that are amazing games that no ones ever played and they got lost due to other big released and what not. Not all of the titles are as easy as going into EB and finding the disc version like you think it is, I'm STILL trying to find a good copy of Psychonauts on Xbox again.

Ok wow. Guess I ruffled someone's feathers here. Lol.
1. It is a lazy way to do it. And I would think it's pretty obvious why they would do it.....to make money. Lol. Didn't think I would have to break that one down for ya.
2. Conspiracy theory, eh? Lol. Wow, you really got all shook up from my post. I was just saying that is seems pretty obvious to me that Microsoft would benefit greatly from people like you who would rather download a game like Halo for $15 and eat up 2 gigs of hard drive space (even though you are getting nothing new) instead of getting the game used for less and it's on a disc. I don't think it's some "conspiracy theory". I was just stating that it's a nice way to push their expensive hard drive on people.
3. And I already know what the purpose of 'Xbox Originals' is as I have heard it from Microsoft when they came out with the idea and now I am apparently hearing it from their biggest fan (a.k.a. you) again. That doesn't mean I have to agree with it. If you want to go shell out the cash for them, then go ahead. I was just stating that I would rather pay less for a game like Halo and get the actual disc for cheaper, if I can, then to go this other route. That's all.
4. I also wasn't stating that Microsoft was obligated to come out with anything. I was just pointing out the Microsoft purchased Rare some years ago and really hasn't got much out of their investment. I was also stating that I think Killer Instinct would be a good XBLA title. So would the original Perfect Dark (even though PDZ was average). I can't remember if it's this thread or a different one, but someone also said that they would like to see Killer Instinct. I don't get what you are getting your panties in a bunch over just because people want to see a game come to XBLA. If you disagree, and it gets on there, then don't buy it. Just keep playing your Xbox Originals. Lol.
You obviously have your opinion about Xbox Orginals and I have mine. No big deal. I personally don't care. If you want to buy them, then go do it. If not, then don't. I was just stating my opinion about them. Hopefully this will clear things up for ya. If not then oh well. Either way, I think ya should lighten up.

Ok wow. Guess I ruffled someone's feathers here. Lol.
Not really, I'm respdind to what you said and I deal with the public everyday, so this is nothing.
Didn't think I would have to break that one down for ya.
Thanks for enlightening me I guess?
Microsoft would benefit greatly from people like you who would rather download a game like Halo for $15 and eat up 2 gigs of hard drive space (even though you are getting nothing new) instead of getting the game used for less and it's on a disc. I
But what I'm saying is, that all those games arnt very easy to come by. Yes, finding Halo used is no problem, finding Psychonauts for example is near impossible (Looking for it myself actually)
don't think it's some "conspiracy theory". I was just stating that it's a nice way to push their expensive hard drive on people.[.quote]
Just the way you are touting it as if they only did these so that it's another reason to force you to buy their HDD, like it's some kind of scheme thought up.
[QUOTE=JC Elite]and now I am apparently hearing it from their biggest fan (a.k.a. you) again.
I have all the other systems
I was just stating that I would rather pay less for a game like Halo and get the actual disc for cheaper, if I can, then to go this other route.
And there are pro's and con's to everything. Some people get their discs scratched and rebuy games a few times, with it being digital, this is no longer a problem.
Microsoft purchased Rare some years ago and really hasn't got much out of their investment. Well concidering most people had PDZ at launch, Viva Pinata has spawned even a TV show and a 2nd game to come, and Banjo is going to be awesome.
I was also stating that I think Killer Instinct would be a good XBLA title. So would the original Perfect Dark (even though PDZ was average).
Yea, I want those as well, though I'd rather them focus on new versions (and a NEW Conker, not a remake!)
I don't get what you are getting your panties in a bunch over just because people want to see a game come to XBLA. If you disagree, and it gets on there, then don't buy it.
I don't know what you are getting at. I'm always for bringing more titles to XBLA, even if they arnt AAA titles, they broaden the choices for consumers.
Just keep playing your Xbox Originals. Lol.
Havn't bought any, as I have the discs (except I lost my Psychonauts disc and trying to rebuy it)
I think ya should lighten up.

I hear ya on most of that stuff, actually. Sometimes is best to 'agree to disagree'. Lol. Except for the part about Rare.
Microsoft paid A LOT of money to get Rare in their corner and they have yet to develop anything close to what they did on the N64 for Nintendo. Now don't get me wrong, I loved Viva Pinata more than most people. But other than that, um it's been average....at best. Kameo was ok, but nothing we haven't played before. And just THINKING about playing through PDZ's horrid single player campaign again makes me slowly fall into a coma. I did think the online play was great, however. And Banjo-Kazooie? Ugh.
Rare has been a letdown ever since the N64 glory days. I mean Perfect Dark Zero was supposed to come out on the Gamecube. Then the original Xbox. Then we get it for the 360 and it's only fun online. That's what we waited all those years for?!! Lol. I am not saying they are a bad development company (I'll leave that distinction to Treyarch, who I am sure Infinity Ward would love to firebomb their offices), it's just I was expecting more from them. Maybe that's my fault. Lol.
I still would like to see some of their other older games on XBLA. Jet Pack Refuelled didn't impress me all that much.
