Has anybody done a Gears of War LAN party or linked a few 360's together?

We just held a GOW 3v3 tourney on Saturday and for the most part it went pretty smooth.
The host shotgut was basically non-existant.
We did have a couple of issues where a player got booted due to a connection error but I am guessing that was a game issue, not a connection error.
Also, one of the boxes was just traded in and the new box didn't allow 2 of the maps that were on the old hard drive to load. That part sucked since there were 2 maps of our 5 that we were set to play.

I will post some pics of our setup here once I get them on the net.

Cool, I'm hosting a LAN party next month and while R6:V is going to be the game we spend most of our time on I was considering throwing GoW in to the mix. Would you say it would be worth it? I've only played GoW MP once and it just seemed like a slow death match game, is there more to it than that?

How many consoles/gamers do you plan to have? I personally do not like 2 v 2 or less for GOW. 3 or 4 per team is way better. LAN is far better than on-line as well. I think you would have some fun if you played some GOW at a LAN gathering. As far as if it would be worth it, what do you mean? Do you have to buy or rent copies of GOW or do you mean will people enjoy it?

At least 8 consoles. By worth it, I just meant would people enjoy it and is there enough depth in it to hold peoples attention.

In that case, yes, I think it would be worth it as long as the teams are somewhat even.
It is not as fun if there is a team of noobs and a team of experienced players.

Even when you die it is still fun to spectate until the next round.
