Ok. I recently recovered my lost gamertag by deleting the corrupted profile and have been playing for several weeks now. A new problem has surfaced... Every time my house phone rings I get disconnected from the game I am in (typically Gears of War) and or disconnected from xbox live entirely. This is really starting to annoy me. If any one can provide insight on my dilemma I would greatly appreciate it.

How would your phone ringing have anything to do with your connection anyway? I've never even heard of a problem like this before, I suggest calling Microsoft or your ISP or something.

Maybe he has DSL and he needs to replace the inline phone filter on that one phone that kicks off his connection when it rings.

naw i have comcast cable. i recently found out i get kicked off when there is an outgoing call from my house too. i think my linksys router might be intercepting the calls or something. anyway noone knows what the problem is.

Do you have VOIP phone service like Vonnage or whatever? That's the only way I can figure why the phone and internet are colliding.

Maybe your just thinking too hard into this. I highly doubt thats the problem.
Could you post a bit about your setup maybe?
