What games would you love to see?

I've decided to start this thread to see what games you'd love to see on Arcade.

Since they expanded the file sized requirements for XBLA games, I'd like to see a Sega old school Arcade collection:
Outrun, Outrun 2, Afterburner, GLOC, Thunderblade, Shinobi, Space Harrier, E-SWAT, Golden Axe 1-2, Powerdrift, Quartet, and the original Crackdown.

If you are familiar with MAME, the original arcade CPU images aren't that big, just add some extra stuff to work with the Xbox and some networking code for the arcade and it'll definitely still all fit in the size requirements.

How about a Capcom series like Final Fight, Forgotten Worlds, Carrier Air Force, Aliens versus Predator, Avengers, Mercs, X-Men, and so on.

Well, you get the point. I'd pay for old school games sold in a series.

I haven't given the arcade enough of a bother to really want much from it, but I wouldn't mind some more games compatible with the XBL cam

Some Atari games would be cool, like Hard Drivin', Stunt Drivin', Stun Runner, Road Blasters, Blasteroids.

^^^ Oh yeah, I ran out of points. I've got to pick some more points up for Castlevania, not to mention the new Oblivion expansion coming out.

I'm not sure if the size is too big, but I'd love to see a Virtua Fighter or Virtua Cop game. Definitely one of the old Simpsons arcade games. Really, I'm more interested in original games instead of more and more retro-revivals.

I would like to see some old sports games like Blades of Steel, Super Tecmo Bowl or some old EA Sports games. Also I think XBLA is in need of a good classic JRPG and of course something like Chrono Trigger would fill that perfectly.

Magic Pockets was spectacular, but having played gods recently on my Mega Drive..not so hot anymore.
If they do decide to do Magic Pockets, lets hope they don't kill it like they did Speedball.

lol i was looking through these choices and granted some of them are great ideas, i couldn't help but think of the licencing nightmare for all of those. I've recently read that Rare "hinted" on KI3, but nothing official (Rare has teased gamers for over 5 years on this title). I wouldn't mind a Killer Instinct title on the arcade (I love pulling off a 50 hit Ultra that gives you time to gloat over your opponent properly lol) but I'll believe it when I see it.

Unf. Goldeneye as of now will never make it to XBA. Here's a snippet of an article on 1up.com about it

"Unfortunately, the reason GoldenEye for XBLA died came down to money. Our source close to Rare said the conversion was a mere two months from completion, but Microsoft and Nintendo couldn't agree on the financial side of things. The point of contention, as our source puts it: would Nintendo receive a one-time fee for the rights to the game, or a continuing cut of the XBLA revenues? The latter seems to make sense for everyone, but apparently it wasn't that easy."

LOL I find it humorous that MS is having a hard time with Nintendo (what else is new). It all boils down to money if you look at it from a business perspective. Oh well, yet another great title that will never see the light of day.:confused:

I would really like to see a revamped graphical version in HD of the 1983 Star Wars: Arcade Game of the Death Star Run. Man I loved that game it also brings to mind the Last Starfighter. Oh, those where the days.

I would love to see Herzog Zwei (Sega Genesis, Action/RTS) get an HD Remix on XBLA. With some Improved AI, this would be a great addition for single player or multi-player.

I would also love to see True Fantasy LIVE Online get released as a free MMO for Gold members. It was 99% finished for original xbox, cancelled because of chat implementation problems. characters were cell-shaded anime style.

With some slight improvements in terrain details (textures, polygon count), TFLO would be an awesome LIVE experience.

A game that I would like to see come to arcade is a good Tycoon Game like Lemonade Tycoon, Airport Tycoon, Mall Tycoon....something addicting yet kid friendly.

Theres alot of stuff I'd like to see come to the arcade... I like how they put Earthworm Jim HD up in the arcade, and I think the game DEFINETLY had a couple issues with it, but still thank that some people were a little harsh on it with reviews...

I'd like to see the same thing happen with Earthworm Jim 2 on Xbox Live, in the sense that it is re-released in High Definition and possibly with some additional levels and options... I don't know about re-releasing EWJ 3D (from Nintendo 64) onto the arcade, but what about going back to the series' classic roots with an all new Earthworm Jim 4 in full 2d EXCLUSIVE to Xbox Live arcade? That would be outstanding...

^---And on that same token, I think they should also make a sequel to the original Perfect Dark, with graphics similar to the XBL Arcade HD re-release of the original...

it's amazing looking back on this thread how many "wants" actually happened. still no Killer Instinct for me :( oh well I'm thinking of checking into how much it would cost to buy the IP outright and start developing it.
