Can't download the beta

The "Download Halo 3 Beta" option in Crackdown is still grayed out, is anyone else having this problem? just wondering...

Bungie is well aware of the problem and working on a fix along with MS. No timetable has been set as to when it will be fixed. All Crackdown Beta Dlers are affected by this.

Yeah... I'm not surprised at all by this, I took school off today and it's already almost time for school to get out. Kind of a waste. I knew something like this was going to happen though, it happens everytime I swear.

Still no updates from Bungie for almost 10 hours now. Most likely we won't be able to play until tomorrow or Friday.

I find it funny how everyone demands Bungie do this and do that. Do you guys realize you are talking out of your arses? Readning the Bungie forums is hilarious. The typical sterotype of Halo players holds true to form in the coment being made like the one above. Halo players are the biggest group of unmature gamers in any game that has ever existed.

Bungie nor Microsoft owe anyone anything. The Beta is NOT for US, as the gamer, but for THEM, as the developer, to tweak the final product of the game. Its a privelage to be able to participate in the beta> I know , I know....I bought Crackdown for the sole purpose of playing the Halo 3 Beta. Thats one sorry excuse! If someone pays $60 in order to pay for something that they had NO IDEA of what to expect and when, I feel sorry for that person.

At this point, I would love to see Bungie and MS just throw their hands up and say sorry. Just buy the game in September, there will be no beta. Then all the rants of boycotting Halo 3 will begin, but we all know that those same ranters will still purchase the game on release.

Relax people...The beta will be here soon enough. I am sure they are working diligently to fix the problem. In the meantime, play a different game, watch some tv, hang out with the family...

Sorry you don't agree.

THEY are the ones that set the expected timetable. Not us. When they make it official, they need to stand by it. **** happens, I know. I deal with this kind of stuff day in and day out at my job. They dropped the ball by not testing their beta enough.

Any time something like this happens, we make compromises so that our customers are happy. We don't just "just throw our hands up and say sorry." That's bad business and just plain idiocy.

I think it is the least that they can do. It's not asking much. It gives us more time to beta test the game.

Again, sorry that you do not agree. It is my opinion. If you don't like it, then just disagree. No need to be an ass about it.

Not being an ass. Just pointing out how typical it is of the "Halo" crowd to expect to be given stuff. My post wasnt directed towards you, but more towards the typical comments as that are plaguing the Bungie boards right now. It amplifies the fact that 90% of the Halo players are immature idiots. A reason I hate playing the game online against folks I dont know.

I disagree Cougar. They advertised that along with Crackdown will be the ability to play the Halo 3 beta. They didn't say maybe, they said it will be there. Therefore, they do owe us because they used that to help sell Crackdown and it worked. I bought Crackdown because I like the idea of the game and as an added bonus I get to play the Halo3 beta. I want what I paid for plain and simple.

sucks about the downloading. I can't play the game and I can't go to the dashboard. I have to just leave my 360 untouched with the disk spinning non-stop while it downloads. Luckily its at 18% but I still have a long way to go. Oh boy! Well, I hope to see someone from here on there tonight.

Bungie has added 4 days to the beta, it now ends on June 10th instead of June 6th

I'm waiting until September. I'm not discounting anyone that bought Crackdown to enjoy that game with the added bonus to play Halo 3, but, I would in no way buy Crackdown only because of the Halo 3 beta. I'd rather play the finished, more polished game.

Only took me less than 15 minutes to download, and was having fun for the next 3 hours!!! The crowd hasnt changed much from Halo 2. I guess its just a prerequisite to be an a-hole and say the stupidest crap. Oh well......still having fun at least playing with people I know in my party.

So far this game looks like it's going to be the best one of the 3. They made the starting weapon pretty much perfect this time and I like what they did with all the rest of the weapons. I've played over 50 matches in the past 10 hours and I'm having a blast, this game is awesome.

I think it is going to be a blast and the best of the three as far as multiplayer goes. I just hope that they bump up the graphics. I would love to see Bungie push the 360 like they pushed the old xbox. I love that spike grenade thingie, it's a little hard for Halo, adds some edge to it. Plasmas? I hope so. Magnums, pistols, I'm sure they will, The maps? Outstanding! Again if this is just the beta oh my damn!! I preordered two but I think I need one more, one for each 360 in my house.:)
