within 30 days - I've got $120 towards it right now (I have been buying gift-cards at GameCrazy so that I can't spend the money - so far, I've bought 2 for $60 a piece).

They've got the core systems for $259, so I'm half-way there for just the system - I will be buying the Elite HD - hopefully used as well - I will also be buying a warranty on all hardware that I purchase (system and HD at least anyways).

My must-own games list includes the following:

Tenchu Z
Forza 2
Lost Planet: Extreme Condition
All Halo games
Ninja Gaiden (reg. or Black - either one doesn't matter to me)

Any other suggestions for games people?

Congrats man, I would suggest picking up Call of Duty 2, DiRT, GRAW2, Gears of War, Rainbow 6: Vegas and Crackdown

Aside from Splinter Cell games, I'm not really a big Tom Clancy game fan.

DiRT could be worth checking out - I'll probably rent it first, and then decide afterwards.

I'm gonna buy most of my games used though.

Depends really if you like rpg's go with oblivion or wait for two worlds to come out, fps, Rainbow six vegas all the fricken way, then if your board go get gears *xD*... I would suggest dead or alive just cuz I like that game... and viva pinata *childish? no the game is fricken addicting i'll tell you that much*
