Same here, I'm very surprised that Fallout 3 beat COD4 for game of the show.

COD4 looked great, it is a beautiful game, and i am going to get it based on a sniper level i saw.

Honestly, I was going to pass on COD4 because I thought I would be too busy with Halo 3, but, after seeing a ton of stuff on the net regarding the game, I'm seriously going to have to pick it up. It's jaw dropping just to watch the game! Now I have to get my filthy hands on it!!!
